Ah my bad, I guess It's just not for Pokemon but for everything that was made for the last generation x-x I could play Mario Kart 8 on the video game store but then again, the clerk might kick me out again for freeloading bahaha 

Aw, that's too bad you don't play Pokemon anymore, I think X/Y and B2W2's plots were more in-depth and emotional compared to the older generations! Oh, and you played HG too? Dang, this would've been a nice present for you and bolota
The present I was planning to give you guys are both event Pokemon, one legendary and one shiny. The legendary one is a special Draco Meteor Jirachi and a Shiny Pichu that unlocks a special event once traded to HG/SS. I have not received any of them but they are confirmed on my Mystery Gift.

And that's what I thought too when I played Pokemon Showdown! (since I played it first and then X/Y a couple of months later) my first impression was like "whoooaa what is this attack, whos that pokemon? and You can mega evolve?"  and I have played this Takenoko  a really long time ago and played for like 3 games with a friend (i think around 2 years ago?) and my first impression of this game was that it is very confusing at first and  I didn't read any rules and let my friend explain it to me and then i was like Oh i get it! but then he purposely made me do stupid moves and i ended up losing the game. I played the game today and i was like ohh i remember this game but i had to expel the guy because he was too slow and took like 5-10 minutes each turn and kept disconnecting, Is it just me or was it on purpose that you can't select the plots you want? I was like I wanted pink but then the game gave me like 2 greens and 4 yellows during my 2 turns xD 
I haven't played the other game but it reminds me of those CCG games in kongregate and ill give it a try soon

Oh and I understand how limited your time is, especially if you're working towards a master's degree (that's actually impressive, i hope for your success) and I don't mind it at all, so don't worry about it we can play sometime in the future when you or bolota absolutely free And yes, I do have facebook but however, I'm not active on that account but I usually check it so I have contact with my personal friends and such and of course you can add me! If you guys need anything, just message, i usually check it when im bored and check where will my friends/colleagues go to university/college xD Although most of the stuff there you will find are outdated, so don't expect anything normal

edit: To bolota: Oh and I was planning on giving you a near-perfect IV bred, Adamant, Technician Scizor 31/31/31/31/28/19 probably took me 4 hours of breeding ;_; I'm pretty sure you have a perfect IV'd pokemon right now because of X/Y new breeding mechanics ^^
